Old CAPITA reports need to be pdf-t. Make sure the scanning yield crisp images. Evidently, the 300 dpi will not cut it! Rhusar 17:53, 28 September 2006 (CDT)

Instructions to PDF reports:

1. Open ScanSoft Software
2. Click settings and change to pdf.
3. For papers with multiple pages, uncheck the single page scan box
4. Click Scan
5. For papers with only line drawings use Black-White 400dpi using ScanSoft software OR for papers with photo use the color settings for the page with color or use greyscale for the page with the grey image. All other pages should still have the 400 dpi.
6. When you have scanned the entire document in there are a few clean-up tools to use. First if the page is crooked there is a page straightener which adjusts the page.
7. Use the eraser to clean up stray marks on the pages.
