2006-10-07: TOMS, GOME as WCS

Currently TOMS and GOME data are available as images. However, for analysis and data fusion, it would be better to have the data access through the OGC standard WCS. Both satellite data are available in the same ACII format as 'sequential grids' for GOME and for TOMS_AI.
Our mission is to accumulate the daily grid files into a 3D (X,Y, Day) netCDF grid file and to create WCS data access routines for the map and time views. Rhusar 15:15, 7 October 2006 (CDT)
Mission acomplished. The TOMS and GOME (No2, Formaldhide) data are now plottavle as grids and available for processing through WCS. Rhusar 14:04, 25 October 2006 (CDT)
