Steps to translating DataFed metadata into common structures, FGDC, SERF, and ISO.

Translate DataFed registration file to DataSpace wiki metadata. (Mark - done)
1. XSLT style sheet created
2. Bounding box, temporal period, and parameters are to be entered into the DataSpace manually
Use Kari's XSLT service to run the translation from DataFed to DataSpace (Jon, Erin to coordinate with Kari - done)
Create XSLT style sheets to translate DataSpace metadata to FGDC, SERF, (Andrea, Jon - done)
Create a web form interface to select metadata elements for FGDC, SERF, ISO that are not automatically translated from DataSpace (Andrea, Jon, Erin - in progress)
1. Refine drop down lists: add more domain values, and choose default values of those most likely to occur
2. Try to lift the character restriction and allow for more text to be entered
3. Determine why some URLs are being truncated in the RDF feed (coordinate with Kari - might be a symbol error)
4. Make GetCoverage, GetCapabilities, etc. default values similar to WCS and WMS
5. Create user pages to link attributes and allow for multiple selections for an attribute (then this information will be extracted in addition to the RDF feed)
Use Kari's XSLT service to provide web service interface for executing style sheets (Stefan research whether catalog harvesting uses FTP or HTTP- in progress)
1. Generating files and automatically registering datasets
Figure out how to clean-up and separate metadata display in DataSpace (future)
ISO style sheet to be created when North American Profile is published (Jon - future)
