2007-09-14: Saving Intermediate Data

Background: Many DataFed canculations are tedious and the results may be resusble as data inputs for subsequent calculations. For such situation, saving the results as grid or table netCDF files may be desirable. The mission is to develop a lightweight procedure for doing this.

Plan:

- Kari & Stef & RBH discussed the need to save outputs for individual layer calulations as netCDF files. Initially these can be single snapshot grids or tables.

- These files should be loadable as data sources for further service chaining programs
