2007-10-08: Grid-to-Point Extraction Service

The objective is to develop a service workflow that extracts grid values at a given set of points. George Mason University LAITS has wrapped a GRASS grid extraction service with a WSDL interface. We are working to use the DataFed workflow to provide:

  • Input point dataset
  • Input grid dataset
  • The output is a point dataset with the values of the grid at the input point locations.

Update: note the GMU service is currently inaccessible.
