Conceptual framework: How we reason
The European Eenvironmental Agency is built around a conceptual framework known as the DPSIR (Driving forces, Pressures, States, Impacts and Responses) assessment framework. Particularly useful for policy-makers, DPSIR builds on the existing OECD model and offers a basis for analysing the inter-related factors that impact on the environment.
