HTAP wiki run by Martin Schulz.

Wish List:

• Discussion pages allowed for each wiki page
• Editable gui interface
• RSS Extension both reader and syndicator
• Semantic wiki capabilities?
  • Metadata in Moin
  • SemanticMoin | Example - page facets or attributes
• When creating new page, have option to create a specific type of page - Example - this pops up whenever the page does not exist.
  • What are specific page types currently on htap wiki?
• Form inputs for pages

Potential issues:

• No database back end
• Overly tight security
• Policies about what the wiki is used for (how organic/structured is it?)

Potential Workspaces:

• Meetings
  • Presentation pages with links to presentation, follow up discussion and additional information
• Experiments/Projects
  • HTAP Exp 3
  • IPCC AR5
  • AC&C 2
  • AC&C 4
• Publication Drafts

Wiki Uses

• Sarah Doherty - wiki catalog (dataspaces?) for models need full description of what went into model - model description,
• Feedback/help sections for issues running certain experiments
• Connect Listserv to wiki?
• Specific point made about discussion for Model/analysis, Emissions, Observations
• Add AEROCOM diagnostics to wiki? - it is being sent around for comments.

Data Connectivity - What metadata is already currently available?

• Emissions - John van Aardenne, Stefan Falke (GEIA)
• Models - Martin Schulz, Michael Schultz, Hemitap tool?
• Observations - Mian Chin, Kjetil Torseth

Additional Notes - need to be moved

• Hemitap uses IDL/IDL Virtual Machine - can we create virtual machine/somehow use IDL to serve Seawifs data?
• Friedle made point that HTAP/NASA need to communicate about tools needed
