The purpose of this page is to show the access to the Juelich HTAP model data server using OGC standards-based WCS protocol. The client software is is DataFed 'Console'. A data console represents shows a set of maps that are synchronized over space or time or pollutant/parameter. The content of the Consoles is driven by REST (URL) interface and can be embedded in any host web page. We chose here the parameters vmr_o3 and vmr_no2. The user may also select vmr_co, vmr_hno3, vmr_no, vmr_oh, vmr_pan, vmr_so2. More on the consoles later.
For each model two consoles are given:
- Ozone in the lowest layer (all ozone maps are scaled to 2E-7)
- NO2 in the lowest layer (all NO2 maps are scaled to 2E-7)
For each model console, the O3 and NO2 data are accessed for each model 'run' and shown as separate map image.
The consoles access the data directly from the Juelich server though the WCS protocol. The Live Console link will bring up the data from the Jueilch server and it takes a few seconds to
- Datafed client requests gridded model data for each layer using WCS
- The client renders the received grid layers as images images
- Displays the set of maps on the Console
To aid quick browsing of the Juelich model data holdings, this web page contains links to saved images of the consoles.
NOTE: This test is intended to demonstrate WCS protocol-based data access. Not meant for actual comparison or any other analysis.
