Dynamic lists are created from pages using tags (both category 'loose tags' and semantic 'controlled tags'). Tagged are several examples of pages that use the Dynamic lists.

The simplest format is category only:
<ask format="ul" limit="5" >[[Category:Web2.0]]</ask>

More complicated queries can be made to filter a particular type of page based on both semantic and category tags:
<ask sort="Date" order="descending" limit="100" >[[Category:Presentation]][[Date:=+]][[Date:=*]][[Location:=*]][[Title:=*]]</ask>
