[edit] Coarse Particle Characterization
This wiki is devoted to the spatial, temporal, chemical, and other characterization of coarse particles over the US. Includes information resources, an integrated coarse particle characterization product, and support for communication, cooperation and coordination
[edit] Air Quality Observatory - Proposal to NSF
The goal of the proposed Air Quality Observatory (AQO) project is to enhance the linkage between the air quality and meteorological communities through effective cyberinfrastructure. In air quality the DataFed infrastructure provides access many distributed data sets. In meteorology, Unidata supports a large community of researchers, educators, and decision-makers needing observational data. The proposed AQO will combine these cyberinfrastructures. Period: 2006-2009. Support:NSF. Investigators: R. Husar, B. Domenico (UNIDATA)
[edit] Exceptional Events - Detection, Analysis, Quantification
This application project supported EPA in the development of the Exceptional Event Rule. This is the first application of DataFed for regulatory decision making. Period: 2005-2006. Support: EPA. Investigators: R. Husar, E. Robinson, J. Husar
[edit] FASTNET - Fast Aerosol Sensing and Tools for Natural Aerosol Tracking
A project for the real-time and retrospective detection and analysis of smoke, dust and other aerosol events. Period: 2004-2005. Support: Inter RPO, NESCAUM. Investigators: R. Poirot, R. Husar
[edit] CATT - Combined Aerosol Trajectory Tool
CATT is a web-based tool to explore the relationship between pollutant concentrations and their sources. It is based on ensamble backtrajectory aggregations for specific air-chemical conditions. Period: 2004-2005. Support: Inter RPO, NESCAUM. Investigators: R. Husar, K. Hoijarvi, R. Poirot
[edit] SHAirED - Services for Helping the Air-quality community use ESE Data
The goal of this REASoN applications and technology project is to deliver and use Earth Science Enterprise (ESE) data and tools in support of air quality management. The project aims to develop a federated PM information sharing network that includes data from NASA, EPA, and US States. This is the primary project for the DataFed infrastructure development. Period: 2005-2009. Support: NASA. Investigators: S. Falke, R. Husar, K. Hojarvi
[edit] NEISGEI - Networked Environmental Information Systems for Global Emissions Inventories
Provides data and tools to emissions researchers and policymakers through web interfaces. It uses the DataFed framework of data access and analysis services. Period: 2005-2007. Support: EPA Investigators: S. Falke, R. Husar, K. Hoijarvi, E. Fialkowski, G. Stella
[edit] Virtual Workgroups - Collaboration in Virtual Workgroups
Goals of the Project were to (1) Enhance the web-technologies that support virtual workgroups; (2) Develop a new tool for the integration and browsing atmospheric data (3 Apply these to support virtual workgroups on global-scale aerosol events. Report. Period: 2002-2005. Support: NSF. Investigators: R. Husar, K. Hoijarvi
