Wiki Extension through RSS
From Datafedwiki
One problem with Mediawiki is that it lacks a form-based entry facility for record oriented data. Using a table editor connected to the wiki through RSS would allow an extension of the wiki contents by loosely (RSS) coupled tables that can be maintained any place by anyone.
Wiki is equipped with RSS reader such that the content of a page is generated by an RSS feed. Presumably there is also a style sheet that can be invoked to render the RSS xml.
A page constructed from an RSS feed opens the possibilty to expand the mediawiki with additional record oriented contents beyond the tables inside the wiki engine. Thus, an external application, i.e. Kari's table editor could be used to maintain a table. Such an editor could be made of the record view (form) and a table view. The main operations would include Add, Delete, Order, and Edit records. Suppose that such a table editor would be equipped with RSS feeder such that a "view" of the table could be exposed to RSS clients. One such client would be the wiki page.
