Load Airnow into the Data Viewer http://webapps.datafed.net/datafed.aspx?dataset_abbr=AIRNOW Click on Service Program in the AIRNOW_grd layer, click on service: InterpolateWeightedAverage - this will bring up the Griding Service interface: here you need to set your ZoomRect and grid resolution az indicated below.

radius - max radius; no interpolation beyond radius sites min - min number of sites needew for interoplation max - max sitwes used in interopaltion inv_dist_exponent - keep it 2 declustering_opts - none outlier_filter - off outlier_factor - 2 georange - here you set the geo domain of the grid!!! lat_min lat_max lon_min lon_max size - here you set the number of gridpoints in width (120) and height (80); adjust to fit the MODIS width height data_column - pmfine or super(ozone)

Click Save and Update Browser - this will re-grid and show data in Viewer Now you save your special View file: I already saved a copy under http://webapps.datafed.net/datafed.aspx?page=Giovanni/AIRNOW_Giovanni - loads all the views ----- youcan modify this and re-save it by File Save Page http://webapps.datafed.net/datafed.aspx?view=Giovanni/AIRNOW_Giovanni_map - loads only the map view

This will give you a 'Giovanni' page with your special settings. Now you can invoke this special map view service as:

http://webapps.datafed.net/datafed.aspx?view=Giovanni/AIRNOW_Giovanni_map

or with DateTime

http://webapps.datafed.net/datafed.aspx?view=Giovanni/AIRNOW_Giovanni_map&datetime=2007-07-30T18:00:00

Once you get this far, we can move on the get the 'Giovanni" map view in netCDF format. Kari will give us the URL for that.
